Insightful Environments, a fully owned dealership of Steelcase Inc, a globally leading workspace interiors company is seeking a Customer Service person to provide support to the business across 3 locations in the UK (London, Rainham, Leeds). Reporting direct into the our Customer Services Manager, this role will have responsibility for supporting the sales team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Raising quotations for clients
  • Requesting quotations and pricing from suppliers
  • Putting together cost plans
  • Handling customer requests
  • Raising Purchase Order
  • Chasing Order acknowledgements
  • Maintaining good customer relations
  • Answering customers telephone queries
  • Producing Furniture Presentation documents
  • Logistical planning
  • Filling of project files


  • Numerate with good working knowledge of Excel / Powerpoint / Word
  • Understanding numeric data
  • Being proactive and flexible
  • Meeting deadlines

  • Working in a busy and varied environment with exposure to pressurised sales support
  • Exposure to sales support databases
  • Experience of the furniture industry essential
  • Experience with communication with all levels of people, including clients and suppliers
  • Intermediate Microsoft office Skills including Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Must have the capability to learn and master new order management systems
