Roku is a leader in TV streaming and is on a mission to be the TV streaming platform that connects the entire TV ecosystem around the world. IE was chosen to work on their new workplace in Cambridge, working alongside architect HLW. The new office symbolised Roku’s global expansion, blending their brand with local essence.

HLW’s concept for the design was ‘The Idea Lab’, creating a functional and charismatic new Roku home, which encourages connectivity, collaboration and ideas.

We worked closely with HLW and used virtual collaboration with the Roku team based in the US. This included live video pilots to demonstrate furniture choices and technical options.

We collaborated with HLW to adapt Roku’s global furniture standards to the UK market, ensuring it met design, user, and budgetary requirements.

Any complications due to the global pandemic and supply chain disruptions were managed quickly enabling us to deliver the project on time and on budget to a happy client.

This world-class office space is now a great advertisement for the Roku brand, supporting its occupants effectively in their day-to-day work with spacious working environments, cutting-edge technology laboratories, sound chambers, client welcome spaces, a great new social hub and sky terrace just some of the new spaces that were created.
