Delivering a modern, sustainable headquarters designed to bring teams together.
Technip Energies is a technology and engineering company leading in energy and decarbonisation infrastructure, and its wholly owned subsidiary Genesis is a market-leading advisory business serving the energy sector. When the two brands consolidated their London teams into a single new home, they asked IE to furnish a two-floor, 21,500 sq ft workspace that would reflect their shared commitment to innovation, sustainability, and employee wellbeing. The result is a modern headquarters that has brought teams together, prioritised inclusivity, and saved 19,378 kg CO2e through reused furniture, delivered on time and within budget.

The project created a new headquarters for Genesis and a key UK office for Technip Energies, bringing the advisory and project delivery teams into a single connected workspace. IE was selected for the London relocation on the strength of our experience in complex office transformations and our ability to manage tight programmes with strong coordination. We worked alongside Siren Design Group as designer, Overbury as main contractor, and Waterman Group as architects, coordinating across eight suppliers to deliver a single, cohesive result.
Our scope focused on furniture and finishes:
The workspace spans two floors, with strategically located collaboration spaces and tea points that encourage interaction and help teams feel connected across the building.
The main challenge was delivering an ambitious, sustainable workspace to a tight programme, while coordinating closely with the design and construction team. Both brands wanted a space that would reduce environmental impact, embed accessibility, and feel genuinely welcoming, and they wanted it delivered without disruption to a fast-moving fit-out.
Sustainability shaped the approach from the outset. Working with stakeholders, we developed a furniture brief aligned with the project's sustainability goals, then assessed the existing furniture portfolio to determine what could be reused, resold, or recycled. Reusing furniture that still had years of life left in it kept usable assets in circulation, reduced embodied carbon, and supported the circular-economy thinking that both brands care about. Clear sustainability credentials and strong coordination with the main contractor kept delivery smooth and on schedule.
Inclusivity was designed in, not added on. The workspace supports a range of working styles and includes dedicated welfare rooms used for prayer, quiet reflection, and wellbeing, so that people with different needs and beliefs can feel comfortable and bring their whole selves to work.

The new headquarters delivered on all three of the client's goals, reducing environmental impact, embedding accessibility, and creating an attractive workspace, reflected in strong user feedback and a noticeable increase in office attendance. The project was delivered on time and within budget, to a high level of client satisfaction.
The measurable outcomes include:
Perhaps the most telling result is the simplest one. When people choose to come into the office more often, it usually means the space is working for them. A connected layout, welcoming collaboration areas, and inclusive welfare facilities all contribute to a workplace people want to spend time in.

"Partnering with IE for our new London office was a really positive experience. They created a fantastic modern workspace that brings our teams together and supports the way we like to work. Their genuine focus on sustainability ensured the space feels welcoming and inclusive. Since moving in, we've seen a noticeable increase in office attendance, which speaks for itself.
