You will be an integral part of the IE team delivering smarter, healthier & sustainable projects for leading organisations. You will be joining a team of like-minded workplace experts who have a passion for innovation and delivering cutting-edge solutions to our clients. We are seeking an Associate New Business Manager to provide support to our clients across the UK. Reporting directly to the Sales Director, this role will have responsibility for increasing sales and relationships for Insightful Environments. 

Role Requirements – What are we looking for?

  • Demonstrable experience of the commercial interiors sector.
  • Possessing high levels of energy, demonstrating a determination to succeed.
  • Direct customer-facing experience in the Commercial Interiors industry - experience desirable.
  • Possessing the necessary energy and enthusiasm to compete and win in a very competitive environment.  
  • Living within commuting distance of London. Ideally, the candidate will already have a good understanding of the key actors and influencers in the specification, design and procurement of commercial interiors (A&D, Agents etc), current contacts with influencers will be beneficial. 
  • Ability to identify and build strong key relationships at all levels with clients, third parties and internal resources. 
  • Ability to grasp the technical aspects of furniture and parallel interior services and translate this into a meaningful proposition for customers. 
  • Strong social, communication and relationship-building skills on all levels of business.

Role Responsibilities – What would you be doing?

  • Achieve individual annual sales targets at pre-agreed margins year 1 - in line with company forecast which will be in the region of £1-2m per year sales. 
  • Develop an agreed review plan with each client and attend necessary meetings and events to enhance account understanding, penetration and profitability.
  • Develop relationships with clients both new and established.
  • Create account strategies and implement them within identified customer target segments. 

Experience

  • 2-3 years in Sales/Design/Customer Service or consultative selling B2B in similar industry
  • Experience in creating/managing own database of clients and specific CRM databases – desired but not essential.
  • Good personal organisational skills.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Experience in Sales training and techniques an advantage.
  • Experience in playing a role in the consultative selling process to blue chip companies within the office interior market. 
  • + Qualifications. Degree level or equivalent preferable but not essential
