Having successfully created hospitality & training spaces within their Gatwick site, IE was invited to provide furniture & workplace design services for a major refurbishment of this FMCG's UK Headquarters.

The aim was to design a workplace expected to fit with the demands of post-pandemic working, with an emphasis on collaboration and flexibility while maintaining a blend of home and office working.

Internal budget approvals were based on pre-pandemic design, and post-elevation identified broader user needs, co-creating with the wider project team identified a £460k gap in the furniture settings needed.

Working closely with the client’s procurement team, we mapped an open book tendering strategy within the project timelines & hard end date of PC.

We achieved a £446k saving, whilst not compromising quality, design & functionality.

Highlights of how we supported:

  • Reviews of the initial plan, developed work mode settings & produced design packs for stakeholder input. Co-created on the aesthetics with Incognito to align with the interior design schemes finishes/palette.
  • Curated furniture options with initial budget pricing to aid review stages with the project team.
  • Hosting furniture reviews, finishes workshops – curated finishes for sign-off.
  • Market disruption to material supply chains were addressed with frequent checkpoints & sourcing close match alternatives quickly to avoid delays.

  • Offer a variety of work modes settings
